New Cousin

Leslie and I were due the same day, we thought that was kind of cool. Tristan Charles came to our family just 2 weeks after Kynleigh was born. I know they knew each other before they came down here to earth and we are excited for them to be best of friends. Here is a picture of the 2 of them and look at those 2 proud dads.

Grandma PG is obsessed with FEET. So she had to get some pictures of the babies feet which is not the easiest thing to get when babies move constantly.

Kynleigh is 3 weeks old

I guess I can say this over and over again with Kynleigh just as I am saying it with Tyler and Brieanna now but I really don't know where the time goes.

Kynleigh just keeps getting cuter and cuter each day.


Here are some pictures of some of her funny expressions. Notice how her feet are always flexed out, even when she seems to be relaxed.
I wish I could get them all as she makes us laugh. Many of her mannerisms and expressions remind us of Tyler but she definitely has some of Brieanna in her as well.

This picture I couldn't resist. Tyler's hands were ALWAYS up around his face and so are Kynleighs and then look at her mouth, wide open when she sleeps, just like her big sister.

The New Brieanna

I feel like I have a new daughter. Here is a picture of Brieanna with her braces off and with her new glasses.

Here is her crazy story tiring to get those darn braces off. She was scheduled to get them off about a month ago and when we went in, the Doctor wanted to keep the top braces on another month. Brieanna handled the disappointment better than I did. I cried (only a little, but I could still blame in on the pregnancy hormones.) They did take the bottom braces off and did an impression for a permanent retainer that she has on her bottom teeth. We went back a few weeks later and they took the top ones off. Brieanna said that it felt great. Those of you who have had braces, it’s that slimy feeling and you can't stop rubbing your tongue on your teeth. They had to do 2 impressions on her upper teeth for her top retainer, not fun and she had a hard time. She picked out a pink and white swirl color with a blue dolphin for her top retainer. When we went in the next day to get the retainer, they forgot the blue dolphin. She was disappointed about that one I might add, but then the Doctor could not get it to fit right so they had to do ANOTHER impression for a new retainer. The new retainer fit great (and they remembered the dolphin, whoa hoo)
About her glasses, Troy has noticed that she was squinting a little when she watched TV and she would put Troy's glasses on and say that she could see better. So one day when we were in Wal-Mart (like we don't live there) I took her into the vision center to check her eyes and sure enough it showed she needed glasses, so off we went to the eye doctor. She mainly has to wear them at school and when she reads or watches TV, but not all the time, so that is nice for her, hopefully they don't get worse like her mom's was (I told her not to count on it) Of course the glasses are pink. She was going to get the Hannah Montana ones but these were cheaper and thank goodness I have a frugal daughter.

Dad & Kynleigh Sleeping

Kynleigh's 1st week home, we rented some movies and just chilled in the basement a lot while the kids were at school. During one of them Troy warned me that he would probably fall asleep and did he ever (I had to turn the volume up as he was snoring so loud) I just thought this was cute with the 2 of them sleeping and hanging out together.

Hick-Ups

Poor Kynleigh gets the hick-ups constantly, almost every time she eats. Sometimes it bothers her more than others but for the most part she deals with it a lot better than I would. I just had to video tape her one night. (This is when she was just a few days old)

Kynleigh's 1st Photo Shoot

I have a very talented neighbor who is an interior decorator who suggested to have a picture of Troy and I with Kynleigh on her wall with some of the words to the Butterfly Kisses song and then some of my butterfly boarder kind-of flying up to the picture. (she is going to have butterflies in her room) So I talked another gal in our neighborhood who is a photographer to come over and take some pictures for me. Here are a few of them. They will definitely be keepsakes for us forever.

Kynleigh is 1 week old

It is amazing how fast this week has gone by. It is hard to believe that a week ago I was in the hospital with her. Each day she is more and more active and keeps her eyes open for longer and longer stretches. It is fun to see her personality come out a little and some of her little mannerisms remind us sometimes of Tyler.
